FAITH DECLARATION
The SEARA – Serviço de Evangelização e Assistencial de Restauração Ágape (Service of Evangelization and Assistencial of Restoration Agape) believes:
- In the Bible, which is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is unfailing and we accept it as the authorized Word of God, as well as the only rule of faith and Christian conduct;
- In the triune existence of God, represented in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- In the personality of Satan, called the devil, and his present control over humanity.
- In humanity`s sinful state and in mankind`s fall from God`s grace, needing thus to be born again spiritually because of its depraved situation.
- In Jesus Christ`s holy divinity, in his virginal conception and birth, His death, resurrection, His present exaltation on God`s right side, His personal and imminent return, pre-millennial, to snatch His saved ones.
- In the expiation of sin through Jesus Christ`s death and the shedding of His blood;
- In the resurrection of Christians into an eternal and blessed life in Heaven, in the church as the body of Christ and His bride, integrated only by those who have been spiritually born, for whom Christ now intercedes in Heaven and to whom He shall return to take with Him.
- That the unbelievers shall resurrect and have an existence of torments where they will be chastened eternally in the Lake of Fire.
- In the Great Commission, which Jesus left for His church, which consists in going throughout the world and preaching the Gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them in everything concerning the Lord according to His Word.
- 10. That the gifts the apostles were given, such as healing, tongues and tongue interpretation, was God`s way to grant the disciples power to confirm (validate) thus their apostolate; and which do not exist today in the Christians, as they did at the beginning of the church. Nowadays we have the Word of God and through It we know His will.
11. That the ecumenical movement, which is about reuniting all kinds of religions and beliefs is not biblical, for the doctrinarian and theological principles established in the Word of God are contrary to it. The SEARA does not associate with this movement.
